USB Port Detection
Enable Use USBV in CMOS Setup.

Camera Detection problem
It may happened when USB support which is for the video
treatment has problems. Reinstall or update windows and try again
- mCam program may be not work due to the virus
check and cure virus and try again
- In case that the mainboard chipset is non_intel,
we recommend that download the patch program from vendor's homepage and install it
- When the Camera is used with other USB equipments like external HDD, scanner, etc,
we recommend you to remove such a USB equipment and use the camera.

Get the USB to Serial Converter.

How to Install and Plug in?
***Install***
- Caution: Do not plug in your USB camera before installation of this driver.
The installation program will start automatically. If not, click the Windows Start button, then click Run, and type:
'E(or D, F): \Setup.exe', where E stands for the drive name of your CD-ROM drive.
•Installation of Direct-X8.1b or higher
•Installation of CP3221 Camera Driver
•Installation of Video Compression Codec
•Installation of mCam100v2 server
•Installation of mCam100v2 client
***After plug in***
Find out a new hardware (USB camera) and searches automatically the USB camera driver.
Automatically recognizes the USB camera driver and hardware. Then, you can find USB Video Camera in
Imaging Device of Device Manager.
- Note: You can find some message during the installation of camera in window 98SE. Please insert the
installation CD and select the folder where the files should be copied exist.

I got a no mCam available message. What is the problem?
If you find a yellow exclamation point (!) at USB Video Camera in Imaging Device of Device Manager or find
message There is no mCam available, do as below.
•Unplug USB cable from PC or camera and plug in after 2~3 seconds. Or,
•Plug in USB cable to another USB port of your PC. Or,
•Unplug USB cable from PC or camera and re-install CP3221 camera driver again. Or,
•Update camera driver at Imaging Device in Device Manager with your camera connected to your PC.
•Direct-X8.1 or higher should be installed
•You need not install Direct-X8.1 or higher if you use Window XP.
•Remove Other Devices when Camera Driver collides with Other Devices
•Verify whether collides with other USB Driver or devices. When collision occurs, you may format your PC.
•Collision with TV card or video capture card can happen. Remove such devices and use our camera.
•Update all sorts of Drivers and Devices
•Patch your OS in Microsofts website.
•Patch your main board in manufacturers website.
•Update your LAN card in manufacturers website.
•Update your sound card in manufacturers website.
Note: mCam100v2 Program cannot be used with other USB camera

How to connect 2 camera at one PC?
If you use multiple mCam100 camera attached to one PC, adjust Maximum Allowed for each of camera's need
1. Open first camera
2. Select a 'Video source'
3. Select 'Advanced' tab.
4. USB Bandwidth: Minimum Allowed--> Below 53%
5. Open second camera

How to know whether the installation of driver succeeded or not
You can know whether the installation of driver succeeded or not in this way.
(My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager > Imaging Device)
If you cannot find the image when you run the mCam100v2server program after the installation of driver
completed, unplug USB cable from PC or camera and plug in after 2~3 seconds.
If you cannot find the image when you unplugged USB cable from PC or camera and plugged in after 2~3
seconds, unplug USB cable from PC or camera and reinstall camera driver.

If screen stops, while it connected to server
The transmission of images and video may be paused or stopped from server,
due to the network problems. try to reconnect to Server.

I using a router. How to do PORT Forwarding (Virtual Server Setting)?
If you using a router, you need to do Port Forwarding. Without Port forwarding, you cannot connect to
mCam100v2 server at remote. Please refer to a manual of router.
Note: How to do PORT Forwarding (Virtual Server Setting)
Hypothesis: In case of Virtual IP address of PC is 192.168.100.5 and port number is 7000.
STEP1.
Disable the function of firewall or the function of IP Blocking. Please refer to the manual of router or the website
of router manufacturer.
STEP2.
Set the public port of router as 7000 at "Port Mapping" or Port forwarding or "Virtual Server" in some router -
menu. Please refer to the manual of router or the website of router manufacturer.
STEP3.
Port Forwarding 7000 (or 1~65535) to your virtual IP address (Ex: 192.168.100.5)
STEP4.
You can get ID & PASSWORD after signing up at service website. You can connect to your camera only with ID
& PASSWORD after signing up.
**Sign Up**
For make a list of your server camera in service site and get the fixed ID instead of dynamic IP, you need to sign
up at service site in advance.
Caution: When using two cameras at the same time, use different port number for each camera or use port
range setting.
1. When range setting is allowed: TCP Port: start port 7000~ end port 7001
2. When range setting is not allowed: Set 7000 and 7001 two times for the same IP. Server name shall be
different at this time.
Benefits of using this service are:
1. Server may Have dynamic IP address
2. Client can search for server with server's ID only
3. No need to remember IP address
4. Connection without client application

I can't connect to camera at remote area, How to do?
- Reset the your PC and try to connect to server PC.
- Check the server PC about the server setting
- Check a Server IP, Port Number and password.
- If the server useing the virtual IP or firewall, the client cannot connect to server.

3. Sensitivity: Select the degree of the sensitivity about change of images
**When the mCam detects a motion**
1. Image captuer

3. Send e-mail after ___seconds.

Camera is not moving! How to do?
First, set the port for PAN/TILT control of camera operation. (Default setting is recommended).
For auto setting, click the "Detect COM Port" button. If the PAN/TILT function doesn't work, change the serial port.
In spite of all, when the camera is not moving, try to as below.
1. Modify the COM Port or,
2. Plug in other serial port of PC or,
3. Enable Serial Port at BIOS setting (Press DEL or F2 on butting) or,
4. Check Serial Port at Device Manager.

How to set the disk management?
Select other setting at mCam100v2 server program.
**Check the "Disk management"**
"Capture Folder": This is the place where the recorded files are saved.
"Surplus Space": It will display the surplus of your hard disk. If you set surplus space of your hard disk,
mCam100v2 server will stop recording when the remnant of hard disk is smaller than you had set.
"Delete the oldest recorded file": If you check this option, mCam100v2 server will delete the oldest recorded file
one by one and continue to record when the preset space of your hard disk is full of recorded files.
"Display Warning Message & Stop recording": If you check this option, mCam100v2server will display warning
message that there is no remnant space in your hard disk and stop recording.

How to set the Xvid codec ?
We recommend 1 Pass-CBR: 150 , 1 Pass-quality: 75 and , 1 Pass quantizer: 8.
You need not modify other options.

How to set the scheduling record ?
**Easy Scheduling**
1. Select date > 2.Click your left mouse button at the start time in time table 3.Drag to the ending time The red
bar indicates that mCam100v2 server had recorded or is now recording according to the preset schedule. You
cannot annul the schedule. The yellow bar indicates that mCam100v2 server will record according to the preset
schedule. You can annul the schedule with clicking the left button of your mouse and press DELETE key. The
blue bar indicates stop or cancel a recording before finishing recording.
**Detailed Scheduling**
1.Set "Start time"
2.Set "Ending time"
3.You can repeat this schedule periodically (every day or every week) if you check periodical repetition option
and you can set the กฎExpire date of this repetition.
ั Note: Minimum recording time is 30 minutes. If you repeat your schedule every day, please set start time
and ending time within 24 hours. If you repeat your schedule every week, please set start and ending time and
day within 24 hours and 7 days each.
- Expire date of repetition must be set more than one day from ending time. When recording schedule starts,
recording in progress will be stopped. When you set recording schedule, you can find underline at the date of
your calendar. For cancel of recording schedule, click the yellow bar and press "DELETE" key on your keyboard.

How much storage capacity for a day ?
you can record max 1Gbyte~1.5Gbyte for a day. In advance, it need to an apt codec setting.
mCam100v2 server will divide recorded file by 1 hour and indicate the date and time of recording automatically.
You can only play the file which is recorded at the time of event happened.
Before recording, please set MPEG-4 Video Codec in Video Compression Recording Setting. You need to
install XviD MPEG-4 Video Codec to your PC before recording.
If you didn't install XviD MPEG-4 Video Codec to your PC, you will find a message.
mCam100v2 server will divide recording file to the size of 1 hour and will indicate time to the recorded file.
Recording starts after selecting directory folder, file name and recording time. If you don't select, mCam100v2
server will save recorded files at capture folder of mCam100v2 server. (C > Program file > mCam100v2 >
Server > Capture)
XviD MPEG-4 Video Codec will record video according to the configuration that you did in Comp. Setting.
You can also record video with remote control. Press record button to start recording and press stop button to
stop recording. If you selected directory folder, recorded files will be saved there. If you didn't selected directory
folder, mCam100v2 server will save recorded files at capture folder of mCam100v2 server. (C > Program file >
mCam100v2 > Server > Capture)

What is the Tracking ?
When moving object is found, your camera track that object and shoot and save still image immediately and
continuously in a designated directory folder.

Caption
You can overlay the text, date and time on your screen. You can caption any text as you want and appoint the
location which the text, date and time is displayed as you wish.
"Caption 1": Insert the present time or the text as you want. You can modify the location which the text, date and

"Caption 2": Insert the present time or the text as you want. You can modify the location which the text, date and
time is displayed and the color of caption.

5. Insert the server address for connect to DMcamAX1.prStrServerIP It must be put in quotes(" ").
6. Insert the server port number for connect to DMcamAX1.prLongServerPort. There is no need quotes.
